This is what I see in journalctl after I tried to run the enable nordvpnd command.
Installed 3.8.8-1 and now I can't connect because the system daemon can't be reached. A restart of the iptables fixes the though-put temporarily, but the exclamation point warning of limited connectivity in the system tray connection icon remains. I am using a fast fiber connection near 1000MB/sec. This happens whether on WiFi or on Ethernet. And the system tray icon in Plasma/KDE gets the requisite exclamation mark telling me my connectivity is limited. I have not looked at the IP tables but assumed that nordvpn broke them. Sometimes the connection deteriorates slowly, and at other times, it becomes "constricted" faster, and requires a reboot or iptables restart. And it makes no difference which server I connect to. The connection always starts out to be excellent whether using NordLynx or OpenVPN, and whether Cybersec is on or off. Yes, I make sure that the service is started and enabled. Within 10 - 15 minutes "on the clock," something happens to severely restrict though-put, whether I use NetworkManager in Plasma/KDE or Gnome. I think these are not issues related to the nordvpn servers, because I never had these issues with the android app, or the macOS app, or the ubuntu cli.

Sometimes these issues would last several days, and I was forced to install an older version which didn't have those issues. Sometimes the autoconnect feature would not automatically connect, and I had to always remember to check if my vpn is connected, when I start the system. Sometimes it would only connect to servers from costa rica, and I had to manually select the country using the cli commands. Sometimes it would not connect on certain public networks such as library wifi. So the only solution was to uninstall, and then restart. Sometimes it would not connect, and the killswitch could not be turned off. Throughout that time, this package was very unstable and was the source of many headaches such as: I've been using nordvpn-bin for the last 2 years, because I had signed up for the 2-year special discount with nordvpn. Just wanted to share my experience with this package.
